5.5 magnitude earthquake shakes Iran There are no reports of damage yet.

The German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reports that a 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in southern Iran today (Oct. 17).

The report states that The epicenter was 10 kilometers (6.21 miles) underground.

However, there have been no reports of damage, deaths or injuries from the earthquake.
